Showers, thunderstorms pop up as warm air and a frontal boundary combine Wednesday in Upper Michigan. After a reprieve from precipitation around the daytime Thursday, a round of moderate to heavy rain spreads across the region in the evening as a Central Plains system approaches the U.P. After a mostly sunny weekend under high pressure, an approaching Central Plains system spreads rain west to east Sunday night through Monday.

Watch out for ponding water and minor flooding along rivers resulting from the rain and snowmelt!
