With Britain set to bask in temperatures hotter than Italy or Greece this week, Aldi is expecting a rush on sales for its biggest ever rose range, including Exquisite Collection Côtes de Provence Rosé - the sell-out rosé wine of summer 2017 and several other new and delicious rosés, as the demand for the pink tipple grows.

Julie Ashfield, Joint Managing Director of Corporate Buying, Aldi comments: “We know that our shoppers are looking for something extra special at this time of year, so we have extended our premium wine selection, which includes our biggest rosé wine range to date.

“The rosé wine trend shows no sign of slowing down, so we are delighted to be able to offer a range that has something to suit all tastes and budgets from a new vintage of our celebrated Côtes de Provence to our great-value Toro Loco Rosé.”

Aldi’s popular Exquisite Collection Côtes de Provence Rosé (£6.69) is making a comeback, after shoppers flocked to stores in June last year having heard that it had won the International Wine Challenge’s ‘Best Value Rosé Under £8’ award.

The latest vintage is available to buy in Aldi stores and online at aldi.co.uk/côtes-de-provence-rosé now, to satisfy drinkers’ taste buds this Spring.

The renowned Côtes de Provence is the largest appellation of the Provence wine region in south-eastern France, and produces the vast majority of Provence's rosé wine.

Aldi’s Exquisite Collection Côtes de Provence Rosé (£6.69)is bottled in a distinctive Provençal skittle-shaped bottle and has delicate aromas of strawberry and white fruit.

It is joined by the Fleurs de Prairie Côtes de Provence Rosé (£7.29), which is also available in a mini 18.75cl bottle for just £1.99. Both wines pair perfectly with grilled fish or salads.

Also included in the supermarket’s bumper rosé collection is everything from premium French culinary pairings to pocket friendly pink hued wines, perfect for sunshine drinking as the warm weather returns.

These stylish, crisp rosés are perfect for al-fresco dining as the weather gets warmer.

The Exquisite Collection Touraine Rosé (£5.99), an exceptionally refreshing and refined wine, has notes of red apples and early-picked raspberries, which add an extra dimension to the clean citrus flavours.

A perfect accompaniment to summer salads and grilled fish, the Terre de Brume IGP Mediterranean Rosé (£4.69) encapsulates the spirit of the South of France with its aromas of citrus and red fruits.

It is no secret that millennials have played a substantial role in rosé popularity, with the iconic shade of pink dominating Instagram feeds.

Aldi’s Toro Loco Spanish Rosé (£3.89), Kooliburra Australian Rosé (£3.99), Castellore Pinot Grigio Blush 2017 (£4.29) and sparkling Belletti Rosé-Spumante (£5.79) are the ultimate great-value party starters that don’t compromise on quality.

The supermarket’s wine range has earned an excellent reputation amongst shoppers and industry experts alike for its excellent value and innovative offering.

Last year, the range was awarded over 140 medals at international competitions, including the likes of Decanter World Wine Awards and the International Wine Challenge.

The wines are available to buy in stores and online at https://www.aldi.co.uk/c/wines/rose-wine now, with the exception of Exquisite Collection Sud de France Rosé and Fleur de Prairie Côtes de Provence Rosé, which join the range on 9 July.
