WATnlos was one of a 73 unique entrants field, with an additional 25 re-entries between them, in the Apr. 8 edition of the PokerStars Sunday High Roller. Only 13 of these 98 entrants were paid, so spare a thought for “TonyYayo5” who busted in 14th place to burst the bubble and did so after firing two $2,100 bullets.

Places 10 through 13 collected $5,000 for their efforts, with the least amount of money awarded at the final table being $5,819, the sum given to Japan’s “masatotan,” the ninth-place finisher.

The rest of the final table read like a who’s who of online poker, with a couple of former Sunday Million champions, SCOOP Super High Roller winners, and elite grinders.

Artem “veeea” Vezhenkov of Russia fell in eighth-place and was followed to the rail by Germany’s Christopher “lissi stinkt” Frank. Sixth-place, and the first five-figure score of the tournament, went to “bencb789” and he was joined on the sidelines by a brace of talented Swedish players in Nikas “Lena900” Astedt and “anteen.”

Latvia’s “APonakov,” a former Sunday Million winner, busted in third-place to guarantee an Austrian one-two finish. "WATnlos" and “sk2ll_m0dR” locked horns heads up but it was the former who emerged victoriously and got their hands on $47,398.

This weekend’s PokerStars Sunday Million ended in a heads-up chop after a long, drawn-out heads-up battle. The tournament spanned more than 14 hours and ended with Germany’s “Kenu V” walking away with $136,284 and a $30,000 Platinum Pass for the upcoming PokerStars Players Championship.

Kenu V’s heads-up opponent was “peterwhooo” who won $114,464 as part of the deal. The Brazilian led for much of the final one-on-one clash, but it was the German opponents who came out trumps.

Four of the final table’s players took advantage of the re-entry system and navigated their way to the final nine after firing two bullets. “SU1990”, “master beto”, “54kgPozitiva” and "peterwhooo" all fired a second $215 bullet, and it reaped in the rewards with those players winning between $8,667 and $114,464.

Hungary’s Balazs “zhuex” Ujvari secured the largest cash prize of his online poker tournament career when he came out on top in the partypoker Super Sunday Championship Event, a $215 buy-in tournament with a $500,000 guaranteed prize pool.

Ujvari’s previous largest cash weighed in at $31,418, the prize for finishing third in the PokerStars Sunday Warm-Up in Jan. 2017. Now he can brag of a cash haul more than 2.5 times that size thanks to being awarded a cool $83,500 for this victory, which also happened to be the biggest prize won at partypoker this weekend.

All eight players at the final table were guaranteed $5,375 but like in the majority of tournaments; the big money was up top. Ujvari eventually won the tournament after sending “CooperKupp” to the rail in second-place, a finish that netted the runner-up $58,850 for their $215 investment.

Canada’s “papafritas1” was the winner of the 888poker $100,000 Whale this weekend. The Canadian topped a field of 93 to secure the $32,500 first-place prize.

The final table was a star-studded affair with the likes of Roman “romeopro33” Romanovsky, Kenny “SpaceyFCB” Hallaert, Anton “VnilaVader” Herrmann and Jon “chut_up” Van Fleet all present. That quartet of players fell in places seventh through fourth to leave the waters a little less shark-infested.

Papafritas1 came out on top after a heads-up battle with Finnish player “wellyxx” who collected $21,000 for their second-place finish.

Sweden’s “1LevelAbove” showed they were one level above the opposition after they triumphed in the 888poker $50,000 Sunday Challenge. The $109 buy-in tournament saw a total field of 416 compete for a slice of the $50,000 guaranteed prize pool, but it was the Swede who won the lion’s share of it, namely $9,750.

1LevelAbove eliminated Russia’s “M9yM9so” in second-place, which resigned the Russian to the $7,250 runner-up prize, still a healthy return on a $109 investment.
