One policeman killed, eight injured in Bahrain bus terror act

Manama - 'The relevant procedures are being taken'

One policeman died and eight others sustained serious to medium injuries when a police bus was targeted in a terror act crime at 5:26 PM on Friday, Bahrain new agency reported.
Terrorists attacked the bus while it was driving on Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman highway towards Manama near Jidhafs, the Ministry of Interior said.
The wounded policemen were rushed to hospital for treatment.
The ministry added that a group of terrorists targeted the bus with a remotely detonated homemade bomb.
After the case was reported, concerned authorities moved to the crime scene and an investigation was launched into the attack to find and arrest those behind it, in order to bring them to justice.
Legal proceedings have commenced and the Public Prosecution was notified.
The statement provided no further details about who was thought to have carried it out.
