How former South Carolina women's basketball players are performing in 2025 WNBA season

- Ten former South Carolina women's basketball players are currently playing in the WNBA.
- Aliyah Boston is averaging nearly 14 points and 8 rebounds per game for the Indiana Fever.
- Allisha Gray is having a career year for the Atlanta Dream, averaging 21 points per game.
- A'ja Wilson, reigning WNBA MVP, is averaging almost 21 points per game for the Las Vegas Aces.
COLUMBIA — It's been one month since the 2025 WNBA season began and South Carolina women's basketball has 10 former players.
For coach Dawn Staley, she has the third-most alumni playing this season, just two behind Notre Dame (12) and five behind UConn (15).
On June 15, two former players, Te-Hina Paopao and Allisha Gray, had big performances for the Atlanta Dream. Gray had a career-high 32 points and Paopao had a career-high 16 points and five assists.
Here's a look at how all of the former South Carolina players are doing one month into the WNBA season.
Laeticia Amihere, Golden State Valkyries
Amihere, a 6-foot-3 forward who played for South Carolina from 2019-23, did not make the opening day roster for the Valkyries but was brought back on June 8. She's played in one game and scored two points and grabbed one rebound in 15 minutes of action against the Seattle Storm on June 14.
Aliyah Boston, Indiana Fever
Boston, a 6-5 forward who played for South Carolina from 2019-23 is averaging 13.9 points, 7.6 rebounds and 4.1 assists per game. She's already had four double-doubles and three games with 19 or more points. She's third on the team in points per game but leads in rebounds, assists and blocks (1.6). She's started all 10 games and is averaging 29.2 minutes.
Kamilla Cardoso, Chicago Sky
Cardoso, a 6-7 center who played for the Gamecocks from 2022-24 is averaging 10.9 points, 6.8 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game. In the 97-92 win over the Dallas Wings on May 29, Cardoso had a career-high 23 points on 9-of-13 from the field (69.2%) and added eight assists, one rebound and one steal. She's started all 10 games and is averaging 22.3 minutes.
Zia Cooke, Seattle Storm
Cooke, a 5-9 point guard who played for South Carolina from 2019-23, is averaging three points and 10.2 minutes per game. She had a season-high seven points in the win over the Wings on June 3, and had two rebounds, two assists, two steals, six points and no turnovers in 18 minutes in the loss to the Dream on May 30.
Sania Feagin, Los Angeles Sparks
Feagin, a 6-3 forward who played for South Carolina from 2021-25, is averaging 0.7 points, 0.3 rebounds and 2.3 minutes per game. She scored her first field goal for the Sparks on June 14, where she had two points and one rebound in three minutes. The only other game she's played in was on June 6 against the Wings.
Allisha Gray, Atlanta Dream
The 6-foot shooting guard who played for South Carolina from 2016-17, is averaging a career-best 21 points per game to go with 5.5 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 1.2 steals. She's scored 81 points across four games this month, and this season has yet to score less than 11 points. She's scored 23 points or more six times.
Tyasha Harris, Dallas Wings
The 5-10 point guard played for South Carolina from 2016-20. She averaged 4.6 points, 2.6 assists and one rebound per game before suffering a knee injury this season. She played in five games when the Wings announced June 10 that she will miss the remainder of the season after undergoing left knee surgery.
Tiffany Mitchell, Las Vegas Aces
The 5-9 guard who played for South Carolina from 2012-16, is averaging 3.4 points, and 1.9 rebounds per game for the Aces. She started in one game and played in 10, averaging 13.7 minutes. She's scored in all but one game this season.
Te-Hina Paopao, Atlanta Dream
Paopao, a 5-9 guard who played for South Carolina from 2023-25, is averaging 5.1 points, 1.5 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game. She has started four games and is averaging 13 minutes across 10 games. She's shooting 50% from the field and 45.5% from the 3-point line.
A'ja Wilson, Las Vegas Aces
Wilson, the reigning MVP and a star for the Gamecocks from 2014-18, is averaging 20.9 points per game which is tied for third in the WNBA. She is is now in concussion protocol and has missed the last two games, but prior to her injury, the 6-4 forward was averaging 9.6 rebounds, four assists and two steals per game.
Her season high was 35 points, 12 rebounds, six assists, three steals and three blocks in the 96-81 win over the Sparks on May 30.
