Roger Lloyd Pack, a revered actor best known for his unforgettable role as Trigger in Only Fools and Horses and his long-standing character Owen Newitt in The Vicar of Dibley, also had a stint in the Harry Potter franchise, which might come as a surprise to some.

Born in Islington, Roger was almost unrecognisable with slicked-back hair, a small moustache, and a mumbling speech pattern as he took on the role of Barty Crouch Senior in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.

In the film, David Tennant portrayed his malevolent son who aids Harry in winning the Tri Wizard Tournament and encountering Voldemort in the graveyard where Cedric Diggory meets his end.

Roger and David also shared screen time in two episodes of Doctor Who, where Roger played the character John Lumic.

Roger's acting prowess extended beyond television and film, as he also appeared in the blockbuster Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy as Mendel and frequently graced the stage.

He passed away at the age of 69 from pancreatic cancer at his home in Kentish Town and is laid to rest in Highgate Cemetery in North London.
