RIGA - Germany is Latvia's strategic partner in security, economy and future technologies, Latvian Prime Minister Evika Silina (New Unity) said today after a meeting with Manuela Schwesig, Minister-President of the Federal State of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
Anna Udre, the Prime Minister's Communications Adviser, informed LETA that Silina and Schwesig met today at the Cabinet of Ministers in Riga.
"We have common interests in the Baltic Sea and it is important to develop this cooperation," said Silina.
She also noted that investment flows between Latvia and Germany are already growing. Latvia is also a partner country at a business forum in September in Rostock, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
"We also agreed on closer cooperation in support of Ukraine. Only together - united in Europe - can we build a strong and competitive future," said Silina.
