Two libraries in Kyrgyzstan receive 600 books from House of Russia Abroad

Two libraries in Kyrgyzstan received 600 books from the House of Russia Abroad. The Telegram channel of the Russian House in Bishkek reported.

The books were handed over to the Kyrgyz State University named after Ishenaly Arabaev and the Republican Library for Children and Youth named after Kasymaly Bayalinov.

It is noted that the 600 books from leading Russian humanitarian publishing houses will be kept as a gift in the «Russia with You» Center created at the library.

A Candidate of Philological Sciences, head of the World Literature Department of the A.S. Pushkin State Institute of the Russian Language Alexander Pashkov gave a lecture for the students and visitors on the topic «The life and work of Sergei Yesenin in the context of world culture».

Vice-Rector for Science and Innovation of the Kyrgyz State University Aigul Chaldanbaeva expressed gratitude for the received books. «Books are a priceless gift, they are not only a material value, but also an investment in the future. These books will serve our teachers and students, replenishing their knowledge base, expanding their horizons and intellectual potential,» she said.

Earlier, the House of Russia Abroad donated thousands of books to almost all leading universities in the Kyrgyz Republic.
